I, Micheál Martin, Minister for Education and Science, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 10 (1) of the Universities Act, 1997 (No. 24 of 1997) (as adapted by the Education (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1997 ( S.I. No. 430 of 1997 )), at the request of the governing authority of the National University of Ireland, Dublin, and with the consent of the Senate of the National University of Ireland, hereby order as follows: 1. This Order may be cited as the National University of Ireland, Dublin (Change of Name of University) Order, 1998. 2. The name of the university, the present name whereof is, in the English language, the National University of Ireland, Dublin and, in the Irish language, Ollscoil na hÉireann, Baile Átha Cliath, is hereby changed, in the English language, to that of University College Dublin, National University of Ireland, Dublin and, in the Irish language, to that of Coláiste na hOllscoile Baile Átha Cliath, Ollscoil na hÉireann, Baile Átha Cliath.
