ROAD TRANSPORT ACT, 1933, REGULATIONS, 1955.

I, WILLIAM NORTON, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 6 of the Road Transport Act, 1933 (No. 8 of 1933) as amended by the Road Transport Act, 1934 (No. 17 of 1934), hereby make the following regulations :—

1.—(1) These regulations may be cited as the Road Transport Act, 1933 , Regulations, 1955.

(2) The Road Transport Act, 1933 , (Part II) Regulations Order, 1933, the Road Transport Act, 1933 , (Part V) Regulations Order, 1933, the Road Transport Act, 1933 (Section 29) Regulations Order, 1934, the Road Transport Act, 1933 (Part II) Regulations Order, 1933 (Amendment) Order, 1937, and these Regulations, may be cited together as the Road Transport Act, 1933 , Regulations, 1933 to 1955.

(3) In these Regulations, " the Act " means the Road Transport Act, 1933 .

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations.

3.—(1) The fee payable to the Minister on application for the grant, renewal or transfer of a merchandise licence shall be that prescribed in the First Schedule hereto.

(2) The fee payable to the Minister on application for an order under Part V of the Act shall be that prescribed in the First Schedule hereto.

(3) Every fee under this Article shall be lodged with the application and shall be payable in the form of a Post Office Money Order payable to the Paymaster General at the General Post Office, Dublin, and crossed " /& Co./ " or in the form of a cheque guaranteed by the bank on which it is drawn, payable to the credit of the Paymaster General.

4.—(1) The fee payable on application to a Chief Superintendent of the Garda Síochána for a vehicle plate, or for the issue of a vehicle plate by way of replacement, shall be that prescribed in the First Schedule hereto.

(2) Where in respect of an application for a vehicle plate the following conditions are complied with :—

(a) a vehicle in respect of which a vehicle plate has been issued ceases to be duly licensed, and

(b) such vehicle plate is on such cesser delivered to a member of the Garda Síochána at the plate issuing station at which such vehicle plate was issued, and

(c) the application is duly made within nine months after such delivery for the issue of a vehicle plate in respect of such vehicle,

the fee payable on such application for the issue of a vehicle plate shall, anything in paragraph (1) of this Article to the...
