Unfair dismissal - Continous service - Jusisdiction

Claimant was employed as a recruitment consultant on 5 January 1998. She was dismissed on 22 December 1998 with a week's pay in lieu of notice. The Tribunal determined that the date of dismissal was 29 December 1998 therefore there had not been continous service for one year and accordingly the claimed failed.
