TOURISM AND TRANSPORT (ALTERATION OF NAME OF DEPARTMENT AND TITLE OF MINISTER) ORDER, 1991.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 6 (1) of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act, 1939 (No. 36 of 1939), hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Tourism and Transport (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1991.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 7th day of February, 1991.

2. The name of the Department of State, the present name whereof is, in the Irish language, an Roinn Turasóireachta agus Iompair and, in the English language, the Department of Tourism and Transport, is hereby altered, in the Irish language, to that of an Roinn Turasóireachta, Iompair agus Cumarsáide and, in the English language, to that of the Department of Tourism, Transport and Communications.

3. The title of the Minister having charge of a Department of State, whose present title is in the Irish language, an tAire Turasóireachta agus Iompair and, in the English language, the Minister for Tourism and Transport, is hereby altered, in the Irish language, to that of an tAire Turasóireachta, Iompair agus Cumarsáide and, in the English language, to that of the Minister for Tourism, Transport and Communications.

4. In any enactment—

(a) references to the Department of Tourism and Transport shall be construed as references to the Department of Tourism, Transport and Communications;

(b) references to the Minister for Tourism and Transport shall be construed as references to the Minister for Tourism, Transport and Communications.
